Androgenic Alopecia

Characteristics: Androgenetic Alopecia (AGA) is a by far
the most common type of hair loss and is also referred to pattern
baldness. It does normally not affect women until they are in their
late 30s or 40s while men can suffer from this condition as early
as in their teenage years or early 20s.
For men, the condition is also called male pattern baldness
and is characterized by a receding hairline and gradual loss of
hair from the crown.
For women, Androgenic Alopecia is also called female pattern
baldness and is characterized by a general thinning over the entire
head, with the crown suffering the most hair loss and the frontal
hairline the least hair loss.
Duration: Permanent.
Cause & Cure: Androgenetic Alopecia is caused by
heredity conditions and affects both men and women. Research has
not yet been able to find an effective cure.
