Telogen effluvium causes hair thinning over the scalp because of changes in the hair growth cycle. Women can also suffer from Telogen Effluvium after giving birth. Telogen Effluvium is characterized by a great number of hairs enter the resting phase (Telagon phase) simultaneously.
